How to be at peace in our world

Many of the people in the world want peace. They look around and see there is conflict in countries, in societies, in the workplace, in the family, in their relationships with friends. It seems the world is in turmoil. They ask, “How can I be at peace with all of this?”

Well peace begins within.

When you are at peace with yourself you no longer want the drama that the ego creates. For the job of the ego is to cause disharmony, to cause conflict over the smallest of things to the largest of issues.

If you can start that process within, accepting you as you are at whatever stage you are in life.

If you can accept the situation however good or bad or neutral it may seem and accept it as is.

If you can accept your own thoughts which may be sometimes less than positive.

If when you find yourself in a situation of potential conflict, be at peace with that.

And no longer wage war internally between the ego and the heart. And be more heart-led, for the heart is kind, compassionate, understanding and wants all to be well in the world within and outside.

So when it is not possible to go to a quiet place in the country, in the mountains, in the forest or next to a mighty ocean then by simply closing your eyes and taking yourself to that favourite place, however many thousands of miles it will be, that the physical body cannot reach and yet the mind can reach in a moment. Then simply breathe.

With an outward breath let go of all that burdens you, of emotions, of conflict, of situations, of thoughts that no longer serve you or your higher self and with that inner breath, breathe in peace, love and understanding.

And you will find the mind finds itself at peace, no longer challenged by the external appearance of fear, uncertainty and doubt that causes it to hasten and quicken.

Then so the heart, then so the breathing. So bring the mind back under your control. Think of a simple word and repeat it like a mantra such as peace or harmony or love.

For like all things in the universe it starts with you.

With one simple step, to be at peace with yourself and the world around. And this will affect others around you who will see that peace and they will want that same reality as you.

So today make your reality about peace.
